The Rockin' Crawfish in Oakland

I've been to this place over a dozen times but this was the first time I had ordered the garlic noodles. I regret not ordering them before!!! The garlic noodles are AMAZING!! I usually order the shrimp (heads off) and add corn. It can be quite spicy so for seasoning we usually get the rockin combo medium with a side of garlic butter.The line can be a little long (I've waited up to 45 mins) but if you come at random times there's rarely a line. Even if there is a line just give them your number and you can check on how long it'll take with your phone. We usually go take a walk at lake merit Highly recommend!! Especially when you're craving seafood

Great food and great service great deal. Grear reasonable prices. Good vibe and love the walls. There are friendly and younger staffs who know their stuffs and all. Highly recommended. Come by this popular spot in "the Town" and have a blast crawfish experience here. 🍻 💯🔥💥♥️

I've been to many local Cajun food joints that offer similar menu items. I typically would order their shrimp and clams in house sauce mild. Although a plus that the sauce isn't super oily, I feel as though the flavor still lacks a bit. Maybe a bit more garlic next time around? Their chili cheese Cajun fries are a huge portion, garlic noodles I feel like I've had better.

I thought it was good the seasoning was on point and the crawfish was huge that cab meet was delicious

You know it's real when they give you a bib.The calimari was fresh and fried perfectly.I got a half pound of garlic butter shrimp and I wanted to drink the seasoning from the bag it was so tasty.To top it off the fried oreos were a nice touch to end the meal on a sweet sugary note.Definitely recommend.

I love this place. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are $1 oyster days. Garlic noodles and Cajun waffle fries are amazing. Shrimp and clams are my favorite.

This rockin crawfish is the best seafood boil place ever!! I have tried several other crab places and nothing could ever beat rockin crawfish. Rockin crawfish’s sauce is sooo good it’s so flavorful, spicy and delicious. The best sauce I have ever tasted at a place like this. 1000 times better than The boiling crab! I felt like I wasted my money at the boiling crab because their sauce is gross, grainy, and the king crab meat is so dry, and both the crab and crawfish meat tastes as if they cooked it while it was frozen, and then just put sauce on top. The people who actually like The boiling crab have probably never tried Rockin Crawfish because there is literally no comparison.. trust the sauce. Rockin crawfish’s sauce is addictive and so tasty!! I’m from Oakland but live near San Jose and I come to Oakland specifically for Rockin Crawfish because it’s really enjoyable and worth the money 💯

It's pretty good for sumn quick. Fish was just too greasy. The fried shrimp was cool but. Not enough for the price. I had more elsewhere for the same price with less grease.

This used to be my absolutely favorite spots to eat seafood in the Bay Area, I used to rave about Rockin Crawfish. Until my last visit. I picked up an order to enjoy while in quarantine, got home set up my table to lay out my spread, sat down to eat... Low and behold, the crawfish was super gummy as if it was old and reheated a few times. I asked them to cook my oysters hard, they were soft and wet, they didn't have ANY crabs that day, and I ordered as soon as it opened. The garlic noodles were dry and flavorless. It appears as if they have so much business now, they are not keeping up with the good quality and consistency of their food. I usually cook all of this stuff better than most restaurants anyway, so from now on I guess I'll just continue doing it myself. It's just nice to be able to have a place you can run and grab a meal from so you don't have to cook it, but spending a hundred dollars on food that's not good just isn't going to make the cut.

Delicious Grub

We when to Rockin Crawfish for our son's Birthday dinner, the menu had many choices to choose from, shell fish sold by the pound with choices sauces, mild, medium, hot, cook to your taste buds. We have one pound of each, clams, crawfish, shimps with sides of corn, sauages, potatoes all cook together and served in a large plastic bag. tables are cover with white butcher paper and you just eat and pile your shells on the the table. Be ready to get all your fingers and hands cover with the delicious sauce. Allow yourself enough time to enjoy the eatting experience!

Loved it! Shared the 1/2 lb crab & shrimp mix and half dozen oysters with my mom, it was all delicious! Would recommend to anybody looking for a fresh bite of seafood for the right price in the area.

The food was very disappointing and it's not worth the price. I won't be returning to "Rockin Crawfish", But the waiter was nice that's why I gave 1 star.

After 8 hours of driving, we arrived in Oakland. I had googled best seafood spots in Oakland and Rockin Crawfish was on several lists. We decided to try it. It was about 9pm and they were busy. Rather than waiting for a table we ate at the bar. I ordered the Crawfish and my friend had the fried zucchini and the fish and chips. We started with the delicious oysters on the half shell. It was just plain YUMMY. The place has grit and personality and the staff is awesome. We will be back the next time we are in town.

First time here as this place is closer to SF than Boiling Crab in San Jose. Different flavor but right seasoning with right amount of spicy for the kick. Ordered 1 lb crawfish & 1 lb shrimp for market price $16.99 each per lb. Very juicy & flavorful. Another favorite is waffle cut cajun fries. Omg, love love this one. The potato fries weren't crunchy but they were thick enough to have this chewy texture with bit crispy from outer layer. So in love with this potato fries. If you are big fan of fries, order this one. You won't regret it. Will definitely come back when I crave for crawfishes again. Decent price with fast service. Private parking lot.

My favorite place to go when I get a check I get my usual. 1lbs king crab legs 1lbs shrimps head off. 12 piece sausage and one corn on a cob.

My favorite Asian Canjun place. Prices are by market so may vary. The restaurant has a laid back vibe and the wait staff was great. Because of the great food you may have a decent wait 30-40 min, but the wait is worth it. I went with the Rockin Combo Medium Spice and it hit the spot. Also order some garlic noodles and some gumbo too.

I adore this place! They offer high class food, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is very experienced, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The food is always tasty, the service towards the customers is efficient. I visit often this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.

We came to this restaurant for lunch. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt good. The meal was great. They are always consistent with their flavors. I'm always consistent with ordering the fried oysters and shrimp garlic noodles....always hits the spot, oysters are fried sternly lol sounds funny but perfectly fried, the noodles are fresh and garlicky with a good amount of shrimp and the shrimp still has some pop to it-its fresh and not overcooked. Will go again!

The best in the Bay hands down you gotta get there early if you have a large group. Good service and nice vibe.

This graffiti-adorned, hole in the wall serves amazing shellfish! Had a dinner here with three colleagues and we ate very well from crawfish, to Dungeness crab, to king crab, and beyond. Don’t fill yourself up on appetizers because the main courses are substantial in size and very savory. You can set your own type and heat level for your shellfish. Two blocks from Lake Merritt and worth a visit!

They are so freaking inconvinient because,i was in line for 20minutes ,and was told i was going to be helped. Once i heard a employee to take me in the list & be last customer to reservered a table for 2 i was so happy because it was my husbands birthday & he wanted seafood. Ever since it was a wait of she said it was fine n last minute to call and cancel after a 1hr wait in the parking lot i was so dissapointed in. Them.. I was exicted thay i was taken in for a 1hr reservation.

This spot is the real deal! Come hungry and prepared to get messy because once those bags of perfectly seasoned seafood comes out, you're not going to be able to take it slow. Staff is friendly and provides great service, the ambiance is perfectly Oakland. Crab legs were my favorite. Didn't try volcano level spiciness, but the next one down wasn't that bad so I'm definitely gonna try it next time. Also the deep fried Oreos are 👌

I tried the Fried Shrimp and Fries it was delicious! I live In walking distance so I will definitely be back. Can get pretty crowded there in the evenings on the weekend so if You don't want to wait call in Your order but try them Your tummy will thank you!! 😊

Initially the venue seemed to be quite busy, for what I don't know. The server never even itroduced herself and asked what was our order. In addition, she didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu options. The appetizer were hot and fresh ..... the meal went downward from there. The corn and sausages were overcooked, the mussels didn't taste fresh ,and the shrimp wasn't deveined.

Service was good and the food was great, a little spicy, but I like spicy
